
Grace Brunner
Grace V. Brunner joined GHLA in 2025, practicing primarily in benefits and social security disability.
A proud Husky, Grace graduated from the University of Connecticut School of Law in 2025, completing certifications in Human Rights and Insurance Law & Regulation. In law school Grace served on several faculty- and peer-selected committees, worked as a teaching assistant for five courses, and advocated for clients in the Asylum & Human Rights Clinic and the Health Equity Clinic in partnership with Hartford Hospital. Grace co-founded Lend a Paw, a student-led mutual aid network. Upon graduation, she received the George & Lorraine Schatzki Award for outstanding service to the UConn Law community.
Grace’s legal internships included the U.S. Department of Justice, U.S. Attorney’s Office (Civil Rights Division for the District of Connecticut) and various agencies within the State of Connecticut, including the Offices of the Attorney General, Public Defender Services, Claims Commissioner, Health Strategy, and UConn Health’s Office of General Counsel. She grew up in and around Hartford and graduated from Westfield State University, where she studied Biology and Health Science with minors in Chemistry and Psychology.
